I'm far from being a pendant pedant, but this image from the Weather Network is silly:


I really hope I don't have to explain why Sun can't possibly have a shadow.

Bigger star nearby? Seriously, though, that's just plain funny. I would have never noticed it if you hadn't said something about it.

If we have a bigger star nearby that is bright enough to cast a shadow on the Sun, I'm pretty sure that weather forecasts would be our last concern. :)
